Iron Maiden release a statement confirming Bruce Dickinson has been treated for cancer.Earlier this week, Iron Maiden released an official statement confirming that the band’s front man, Bruce Dickinson, has been undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy for a tumour on his tongue. Diagnosed just before Christmas, Bruce has just completed seven weeks of treatment and is said to be doing well.
Due to early diagnosis, Bruce’s prognosis is said to be very good and he is expected to make a full recovery. The statement published on their official website stated, “As the tumour was caught in the early stages, the prognosis thankfully is extremely good. Bruce’s medical team fully expect him to make a complete recovery with the all clear envisaged by late May.”
The statement explained that an update on his recovery would be issued in May.
As a regular performer at The Sunflower SUPERJAM, Bruce is a very close friend of the charity and the charity’s founder Jacky Paice. Our prayers will be with Bruce and his family on his journey to recovery and we hope to see him on stage again soon!
