Here at The Sunflower Jam we are always overwhelmed by the numerous causes and research that would benefit from receiving the money that you all help us raise. However, when it came to deciding how best to spend the money raised by the Celebrating Jon Lord event, it didn’t take us long to figure it out.

In 2012, The Sunflower Jam, set up the Jon Lord Fellowship and since then the Fellowship has been funding research into fighting pancreatic cancer Рthe disease that took Jon Lord’s life. We have decided that all monies raised on the night will go towards continuing to fund the Jon Lord Fellowship in the hope that we can get closer to beating this insidious disease.

With this in mind, we want to thank all of you who have already bought tickets to the event and urge those of you who haven’t to clear your diaries and pick up one of the few tickets still remaining. We would love to see you all there to celebrate Jon’s life and, with a little luck, we may get one step closer to saving lives.
